Scientists and experts from industry, universities and institutes are cordially invited to attend the International Conference and to contribute to its scientific program.
Abstract information
Extended abstracts should be up to one A4 page long.

Please ensure that all links are removed prior to sending your abstract.
Abstracts will be published in the Book of abstracts in the above style.
Abstract deadline submission is 31st May 2024.
Each registered participant may have only one oral or poster presentation, but he/she can be co-author in another presentation of registered participant.
Exhibition
Technical exhibition of materials, equipment and scientific literature will be held simultaneously with the Conference. Compartments of 2 m x 3 m with a table and two chairs will be available. They will be in front of conference halls.

Language
Conference language is English.
Oral presentations
Oral presentations are scheduled for invited lecturers, regular participants and for young researcher, as following: 40 minutes are for presentations of plenary lectures, 25 minutes for invited lectures, and 15 minutes for presentation of other talks, including the time for discussion. Available time for young researchers’ presentations is 10 minutes including discussion.
Overhead projector and computer for presentation will be available. The presentation should preferably be prepared in Powerpoint (.pptx, .ppt, ...) or in PDF format. Presentations should be uploaded on the computer available for presentations during breaks in order to avoid delays.
Poster presentation
Poster board area is 1.2 m high and 1 m wide. The size of lettering must enable to read text and drawings from a distance of 1.5 meter. The title of the paper and the list of authors, along with the addresses and affiliations, should be on the top of the poster area.
Proceedings
Abstracts will be published in Book of Abstracts. Selected manuscripts will be published in
MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY in the one of first issues in 2024, following the standard peer-review procedure. The journal has been indexed in the SCI database from 2007.
Manuscripts should be submitted not later than 15th September 2024 to the journal Materials and Technology editorial office with the annotation for 29 ICM&T.

Completed definitive registration form should be sent to the Organizing Committee before 1st September 2024.

The registration fee payment deadline is 1st September, 2024. The registration is confirmed when full payment confirmation is received (by e-mail).
The registration fee includes: conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches and social event with music and standing buffet.
Conference material can only be collected in person by conference participant. In the event of registered participants failing to attend the conference, no conference materials will be made available to them.

Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing by 15th September 2024. A 100 EUR fee for administration costs will be applied.
VISA Requirements
All foreigners, non EU citizens, intending to enter Slovenia should provide the documentation required to justify the reason and duration of their stay as well as, in some prescribed cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodging.

Travel by Airplane
Participants arriving by airplane are advised to book their final destination to
Aerodrom Ljubljana Airport (LJU). This airport is connected by frequent flights to all major European airports. Ljubljana Airport is 20 km away from Ljubljana city center and can be reached by busses running at the time intervals of one hour. The bus drive takes about 45 minutes. Arriving to Ljubljana city, travel to Bernardin/Portoroz may be continued by bus directly to Portoroz or by train to Koper, where a local bus to Portoroz should be taken.
Shuttle
Shuttle transportation is available from nereby airports to Portoroz (Bernardin) by our transportation partner
GoOpti.
By bus
Busses connect Ljubljana to Portoroz daily at time intervals of one to two hours. Busses start from the Ljubljana
main bus station and the final bus station is Portoroz.
By car
Traveling by car to Portoroz, the highway from Ljubljana towards the Adriatic Sea should be taken.
